“Max is a Chow Chow. If you know the breed, you’re already laughing.

For everyone else, Chow Chows are basically cats trapped in a bear’s body. They do what they want, when they want. Calling their name in public is more of a suggestion than a command. Keeping Max safe has always been something I think about.

I looked into microchips. You need a vet with a scanner. I tried AirTags. The person who finds your dog needs an iPhone. Neither solves the real problem: a stranger finds your pet on the street and has no way to reach you in the next five minutes.

I couldn’t find a simple answer so I built one. HoudiniTag. Scan, call, done. No app, no special equipment, no excuses.

Built in Laval, Quebec. Launched August 2024. Max approves, mostly because he has no choice.”
